?????
I did a lot of research and came close to doing the same conversion myself. Here's the info I gathered up so far.
VFR Swing arms bolt on - 1994-1997 without problem ** You need shims made for proper alignment of the chain**
1990-1993 Swingarms can be used but they need fabrication for the double wishbone mount on the bottom of the swingarm.
1998- VFR800's Can technically be used but again, it requires machining... the unit is TOO wide where it mounts to the frame of the bike. This requires shaving the ends and possibly making the seating for the bearing deeper.
Best wheels are 1990-1993 VFR750 (8 spoke) Directly bolt on and are 5.5" Wide, meaning you can keep your 180 tire size(VERY HARD TO FIND).
in 1994-1997, Honda went to 5.0" Wide rims for the VFR's; however. in 1998, the VFR800's came out with the 5 spoke 5.5" wide wheel. This wheel can be used on the VFR750 swingarm; however, there are screws that stick out on the Eccentric Hub other then the ones for the lugs so the wheel needs to be grinded to make clearance for these four bolts. You can find the exact shim sizes posted throughout the web, google it.
Just use the CBR900rr Shock and rear brake master cylinder but you need ALL the rest of the braking components of the VFR750 swingarm (especially the brake hose, it's looong).
